Raba Gjoshi | executive director
Raba Gjoshi is the Executive Director of the Youth Initiative for Human Rights - Kosovo since the end of 2009. Previously, Raba was a Program Coordinator at YIHR KS. Raba has coordinated the Travel to Europe project, administered the Small Grants Program and managed other activities of YIHR KS.
Raba graduated in Psychology at the University of Prishtina. Before joining YIHR KS in May 2007, she was an activist of My Initiative network and has also done other voluntary work.
Besart Lumi | program coordinator
In the past three years, Besart has coordinated the regular exchange visits between Prishtina and Belgrade within the Visiting Program of Youth Initiative for Human Rights. Currently he coordinates the Regional Cooperation Program of the YIHR KS.
Besart has graduated in the Faculty of Political Sciences at the University of Prishtina. He has also finished an Internship at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) in The Hague. At the ICTY, Besart has worked in the Office of the Prosecutor as a part of the Leadership Research Team. The main responsibilities he undertook while in The Hague were to do research and analysis of the documents related to two projects within the Office of the Prosecutor.
Valid Zhubi | project coordinator
Valid Zhubi works as Project Coordinator within Youth Initiative for Human Rights - Kosovo. He is responsible for organizing the Young Leaders School and coordinating other project related to Youth and Education Program, as well as administrating the Small Grants Program of the YIHR KS. Valid began working for YIHR KS as an intern in 2007. In addition, Valid worked as Projects Coordinator for Mental Disability Rights International (MDRI).
Valid holds a BA degree in Psychology, from University of Prishtina.
Ferid Murseli | project coordinator
Ferid Murseli is the Coordinator of the Visiting Program in Youth Initiative for Human Rights - Kosovo. He leads the Regional Visiting and Visiting within Kosovo Program. Ferid is a student at the University of Prishtina, Faculty of Economics, branch of Management.
Before joining YIHR KS he has worked in Kosovo Local Government Institute and has also been an activist of My Initiative network.
Natyra Avdiu | project coordinator
Natyra Avdiu is the Human Rights Project Coordinator of Youth Initiative for Human Rights - Kosovo since August 2011. She coordinates various activities part of the Human Rights Program including implementation of project activities, researching and monitoring human rights legislation in Kosovo.
Natyra has graduated in European Legal Studies (LLB) at the University of Southampton/University of Oslo. Previously she has worked voluntarily for different non-governmental organizations in England such as BID (Bail for Immigration for Detainees), STAR (Student Action for Refugees) and the AIRE Centre (Advice on Individual Rights in Europe). Additionally, after completing an internship at Kosovo Law Centre, Natyra decided to move to Kosovo in order to work in the field of human rights law, which she is very passionate about.
Liridon Zeka | program assistant
Liridon Zeka is the Program Assistant of Youth Initiative for Human Rights - Kosovo. He has coordinated several campaigns of My Initiative network including Promoting Minority Rights in Kosovo campaign. Additionally, he is currently the Coordinator of My Initiative activists network and My Initiative Debate Club.
Liridon is a Law student at the University of Prishtina. Prior to joining YIHR KS, he was an activist of My Initiative network.
Arber Nuhiu | financial and administrative coordinator
Arber Nuhiu is the Financial and Administrative Coordinator in Youth Initiative for Human Rights - Kosovo from April 2010. Since 1999 he is working in the NGO sector, mainly as Manager of the Projects/Programs, Finance Manager, as well as Fundraiser.
Besides his daily work in the NGO sector, in the past three years he was hired as Technical Assistant by the Ministry of Health for drafting the budgets, work-plans, monitoring & evaluation plans for international grants call for applications. Also, Arber was part of the team for drafting budgets, frameworks and monitoring & evaluation plans for different national strategic plans of the Ministry of Health.
